The result of continuous growth and an aging facility, Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) built and relocated their operations in 2000 to a newly constructed facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Continuous growth, to the tune of tripling in size, combined with aging technology infrastructure and facilities, necessitated a renovation of the Auburn Hills facility.
CCC began by constructing a 6,830 SF new office area on an existing mezzanine. The new office area includes offices, conference room and open office space to promote collaboration. Then, using swing space at a nearby second location to temporarily relocate staff, renovations to the existing 29,175 SF spread across the first and second floors commenced. These renovations included new offices, a new conference room, new carpet, painting, cubicles, furniture, electrical and new technology throughout. Outside the building the asphalt parking lot was resurfaced and restriped, concrete apron were repaired, new architectural concrete was installed, new building signage and wayfinding signage was installed and two electric car charging stations were installed.
In addition to managing subcontractors, safety, quality, schedules and finances, CCC self-performed all architectural concrete, metal stud drywall and ceiling construction.
