St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan was growing and in need of a bigger and more efficient Outpatient Surgery Center and hybrid operating rooms. The two-story, 43,000-square-foot expansion broke ground in November 2012 and was completed 15 months later. The first floor has nine operating rooms, 32 patient preparation and recovery bays, reception and waiting areas, consultation rooms and office space. The second floor contains one hybrid operating room with space to add on for future needs.
CCC’s Interiors Division was a subcontractor to Barton Malow, construction manager for the project. The general trade work included framing, drywall, doors and hardware, insulation, EIFS/plaster, specialties, wall protection, acoustical ceiling expansion and demolition.
