Commercial Contracting Corporation was awarded the General Assembly Installation – Bid Pack 07 at the Detroit Assembly Complex Jefferson (DACJ). Over the years, CCC has been awarded numerous projects with Stellantis and is proud to continue building our relationship and showcasing our abilities. The project scope involved demo, due care removal, truss reinforcement, concrete, steel design and fabrication, and equipment installation.
SCOPE OF WORK
Demolition areas consisted of five (5) Wheel Aligners, BSR Shaker, Fluid Fill Platform and Equipment, Chassis Kuka Cahin on Edge Conveyor, and Concrete for (2) Super Flat Floors, while salvaging over 10,000 ft of production tool rail, 375 single point tools, and 80 line side Limos.
CCC installed 118 new customer provided tools, including (5) new wheel aligner machines, (6) fluid fill multi-fill tracking systems, floor supported Mezz extensions, and multiple stair and catwalk relocations, as well as designed and installed 50 tons of support steel for new Knight rail systems and Aligner Decking.
The scope, scale, and schedule of this project were very aggressive. Our crews successfully maintained the customer-driven seven-week schedule and shut-down with zero recordable injuries!
