How would you describe your job?
Interpreting needs of customers, coming up with a design that meets their needs, and creating models and drawings from those designs. My day typically consists of creating models and drawings and going back and forth between the customer/project manager, the team, and our project engineer.
What is your favorite part about your job?
The people; everyone is very welcoming, professional, and easy to work with.
I’ve always had a fascination with how things are built, particularly bridges. Construction gives you the satisfaction of seeing jobs from start to finish, from design on paper to actual installation on a job site.
What’s your best memory of working here?
I’m not sure that I could pick just one memory.
What projects have you worked on that you find particularly interesting?
When I first started, I got to work on a chassis line for GM Factory ZERO. That was my first time doing that type of work and I enjoyed the learning opportunity!
What skills are most valuable for this position?
Communication, teamwork/collaboration, and being able to visualize and reflect the customer’s vision.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to spend time with my family, read, and spend time outdoors.
Do you feel safe, valued, and heard in your role/with the company?
