How would you describe your job?
I am the Safety Manager for our automotive projects. I visit and help maintain the safety on those projects.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about my job is the people I get to work with and the friendships I’ve made. I’ve been with CCC for almost 12 years and have made countless connections that make me feel valued and heard in my role. CCC is truly a company with a family atmosphere.
Why construction?
I fell into construction and ended up loving it. It was the first job I was offered once I graduated and knew nothing about construction but loved how you always have something new to learn.
What’s your best memory of working here?
I have so many good memories from my time with CCC, but I’d have to say that working with some of our more seasoned Superintendents and Project Managers and hearing all their stories from the past is my favorite part. I’ve learned a lot about how to do my job from the teams I’ve worked with and wouldn’t be where I am without the knowledge they have shared with me. Plus it’s always a good time when I get to work with some of my favorite people… the stories are endless!
What’s the most exciting thing that has happened during your time with the company?
I love getting to watch how a project progresses. I’ve been able to see us demo a line/plant or build from the ground up and then install a whole new line/program for our customers.
What skills are most valuable for this position?
I think it’s important to have great people skills and knowledge of safety rules and standards for this type of position.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to spend time with my family and watch the many sports and activities that my children participate in.
