How would you describe your job?
I am a Superintendent for our Steel Services division. I’m up early with the crews starting at 6 AM, taking phone calls and doing daily site visits. My job usually involves daily coordination supplying and moving manpower as needed, tracking man hours, overseeing quality and safety, and ordering equipment and supplies as needed.
What is your favorite part about your job?
Daily interaction with many great people at CCC.
Why construction?
I have always liked not being in one place for too long, and my position allows me to travel around to different job sites. I love the satisfaction of seeing projects that I’ve been on completed.
What’s your best memory of working here?
Friday cookouts in Bay City at the Marathon terminal.
What’s the most exciting thing that has happened during your time with the company?
I have a few safety upgrades at the University of Michigan Theater’s Power Center, Mendelssohn, and a full section Trussell we installed at Stellantis’ Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) connecting the body shop with the paint shop.
What skills are most valuable for this position?
This position requires being a good communicator, staying level headed and understanding, and willing to adapt and make decisions.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids – traveling to their sporting events or just being together as a family.
