How would you describe your job?
I am an Estimating Coordinator, so I create the Estimate folders and maintain Pantera, make sure the Estimators have the most up-to-date documents and drawings, complete bid forms, print drawings for estimators and field personnel, and help the Estimators with anything they need.
What is your favorite part about your job?
I enjoy interacting with the Estimators and keeping the folders in order.
Why construction?
I love watching construction change the landscape and have always been excited about building things.
How would you describe CCC to someone outside the company?
A growing company that takes pride in what we build.
What’s your best memory of working here?
Watching everyone’s reaction when it was announced that we are now an ESOP. We were all so surprised!
What does your typical workday look like?
I spend a lot of my time going through emails and downloading potential Opportunities and any updated documents and drawings for our upcoming bids, as well as printing drawings.
What projects have you worked on that you find particularly interesting?
I like the State Funded Wastewater projects. They are very involved and require a lot of preparation.
What skills are most valuable for this position?
You need to be detail-oriented, read a lot, work fast, and never let them see you sweat!
What do you like to do outside of work?
At home, I am renovating my house myself. It’s a long process and I have learned plumbing, electrical, framing and drywall during the last few years.
Do you feel safe, valued, and heard in your role/with the company?
Yes, because my boss always listens to my issues and complaints, helps me understand why things are the way they are, and is willing to consider options I bring to him.
