How would you describe your job?
I am an Estimating Coordinator and have been with CCC since July of 2022. My job is to assist the Estimators and make them look good. I don’t really have a typical workday because every day is different depending on what the bid log looks like.
What is your favorite part about your job?
I think my favorite part of my job is that I get to collaborate with the Estimators and learn new things about the industry every day!
Why construction?
I was working in the mortgage industry looking for a new opportunity. My friend advised me about a position at CCC so I interviewed and felt like this company would be a great place to work. Now I can’t imagine working in a different industry!
What’s your best memory of working here?
My best memory is when I was having a rough time with some last-minute changes that came up on bid day. I wasn’t having the best day, but the people around me and working with me had my back and encouraged me throughout the day. It made me realize that I was part of a team of people that I could rely on and would support me if I ever needed them! It wasn’t the most ideal situation to be in, but turned into the best memory because I really felt like part of this great team.
What projects have you worked on that you find particularly interesting?
I think any project that has a breakdown that I get to build I find the most interesting, because I get to be more involved in the process.
What skills are most valuable for this position?
To be an Estimating Coordinator, I think you need to be detail oriented, have the ability to multitask, and knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Systems.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I like to spend time with my family and my dog Mia. I like to workout on my Peloton and travel!
Do you feel safe, valued, and heard in your role/with the company?
I do feel safe, valued, and heard in my role within the company! CCC takes safety very seriously. I have always felt heard and valued in my role because if I come up with a new idea, my boss takes the time to listen and gives me feedback on how we can make it work!
