On Wednesday, December 7th, CCC President and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Fragnoli, joined the Construction Association of Michigan and the Greater Detroit Chapter of American Society of Engineers at the 2016 Safety Leadership Conference. This conference included nine classes, a keynote address and a closing panel discussion. Stephen Fragnoli represented CCC during the closing panel discussion to speak about organization of safety programs in construction companies.
The top four topics of discussion:
- OSHA & MIOSHA new safety regulations
- Construction industry changing demographics
- Practices that allow unacceptable levels of risk
- Middle Management not engaged in safety cultures
An emphasis of the panel was placed on how senior management must support safety culture in their organizations. As spoken best by Mr. Fragnoli, “Our number one core value is to stress safety, and it starts with me, the CEO.” Safety of our employees has been a CCC priority since 1946. As 2016 comes to an end, CCC looks forward to another successful and safe year in 2017.
Thank you to the Construction Association of Michigan and the Greater Detroit Chapter of American Society of Engineers for hosting the event and inviting CCC to participate.
