CCC attended the ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, December 11, for the opening of the new Consumers Energy Service Center in Bad Axe, Michigan, which will serve gas customers in the thumb area. CCC was the design/builder for the new center which included an office building, boiler shed and vehicle storage shed; Innovated Engineered Solutions (IES) was the architect of record. The Bad Axe building was built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) specifications, and LEED v4 certification is currently in progress. The project took 13 months to complete with over 12,000 man-hour recorded with no recordable incidents or injuries. Pictured are members of CCC, IES and Consumers Energy.
