Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

THE CENTER OF WHAT WE DO

Care for People

From the President to Project Management to Trade Labor, safety is a daily discussion at CCC. Safety is imperative in our culture. Care for People at CCC is going above and beyond and to great lengths to ensure the well-being and safety of all in the workplace. Workers are considerate for the physical and mental safety of their peers and will step up to identify hazards and substandard conditions, and workers will have the courage to approach and intervene if they see their fellow workers putting themselves in danger due to at-risk behavior.

CCC is continually adapting to the physical and mental challenges of the world around us, to nurture a culture that encourages compassion and courage to actively care about others. We are proud to be a company that has an inclusive workplace, free of harassment and does not discriminate based on age, color, race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status and/or disability status.

Our Mission

To create and maintain an environment where people perpetually feel safe, valued, and heard.

“CCC is committed to delivering great projects for our clients and great experiences for our employees. This starts with our mission to identify, hire and retain the very best people. We will work to foster a bias-free environment where people are valued, respected and welcomed to share ideas, concerns and experiences. Together we will create a culture of belonging and family.”

Stephen Fragnoli,
President & CEO

Supplier Diversity

We are one team, made up of passionate and trustworthy people.  CCC understands that it is with a diverse team that we shall deliver construction projects that hold the most value and success to our customers.

CCC welcomes and respects the diversity of our suppliers, employees, and customers with our participation in programs, policy formulation, and decision-making. We take an activity based approach to diverse supplier development. To demonstrate the development of this commitment and continued training we participate in the following activities:

  • Host a bi-annual matchmaker event at our headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI
  • Attend multiple matchmaker events at our customer’s facilities
  • Attend and participate in Michigan Minority Procurement Conferences & Trade Fairs – Detroit, MI and the National Veteran Business Development Council Trade Show – Detroit, MI
  • We Utilize the Uni-Tier Tracking System to measure diverse supplier utilization in the categories of MBE, WBE, VBE
  • Participate in supplier luncheons to coach and mentor on a one-on-one basis

We are a corporate member of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council. Participating in programs that provide exclusive access to top corporate purchasing agents, premium networking events, searchable supplier databases, affordable consulting services, technology programs, and vital introductions to nationally known corporations.

CCC added the LGBTQ designation to our program and has an established and dedicated DE&I Committee for the continual development of our diverse supplier portfolio that resides in our departments. With this pro-active approach to supplier diversity, we are able to form alliances with diverse owned businesses.

Workforce Development

Women in Construction Initiatives

CCC participates in and leads multiple construction industry associations to foster education, hands on training, and career growth for women.

  • NAWIC
  • Project Accelerate
  • Women In Construction Week

Ford Motor CompanyFast Track Program

Encouraging access, skill development and inclusion of minorities and women within the skilled trades. CCC participated with Ford Motor Company in their Fast Track Program, a four month paid work experience program to help create a sustainable pipeline of talent for the construction industry in Detroit. The goal of the program is that participants be recognized as valuable future employees during their four month program and apply to formal apprenticeship programs or apply for fulltime jobs with contractors.

Local Education

CCC supports numerous local education workforce development organizations to raise awareness of and generate interest in Construction.

Minority Mentoring

CCC recently began sponsoring a young man in his journey through the trades. His current role as a Millwright Apprentice has strengthened his admiration and interest in the industry, and he looks forward to what this new career will bring. Speaking with members of our DE&I Committee, he confessed that he never thought an opportunity like this would present itself, and is already feeling more confident in himself and his future.
